The situation is escalating as the youth of NewVada are starting to copycat in illegal ways that don’t even involve Black Boxes. Jason Haggerty and his beautiful android assistant pay a visit to Detective Woyzeck at the police precinct and bargain their way into interviewing the rock band Clone Jesus. Haggerty desperately wants the band members to decry the suicides, and his only bargaining chip to gain an interrogation is the recording that’s still uploaded inside Elsa.

Chapter Seven, Part Four of The Killswitch Review is now up on Suicide Girls and as promised this story has gotten really fucked up.

Agent Haggerty, trapped within the Society Of The Last Supper has realized this restaurant is aptly titled, as no guest leaves there alive. He’s also just about to realize he’s well on the way himself since he began dosing on Happy Styx! Initially I wanted to call the drug Happideath, but it would have been too much of a giveaway. Happy Sticks worked, because it had the reveal that it was Styx, as in the river of Death from Greek mythology, rather than sticks like twigs. Which makes sense that it could be confused by hearing it… but clarified once it was spelled.

Hey SG SciFi lover,

Chapter Eight, Part One of The Killswitch Review is now up on Suicide Girls and this chapter is entitled The Killswitch Review, which makes it the book’s namesake. I don’t know how other author’s feel about the namesake chapter, or how the tradition ever arose, but whenever I turn the page whilst reading a book and encounter the book’s title as a chapter title (or a song title on an album that is also the album’s title like “Superunknown” for example from Soundgarden) I always expect a little something special should be going on in this one! Or did this chapter title (or song title) come first and make the writer (artist) go yea! That’s gonna be the book’s title too!
Does anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Agent Haggerty, having escaped his fate in The Last Supper Club, has come to rest in the one place he believes safe, the one place no one would likely consider searching for him… his family’s tomb. There he will finally have a moment to re-review the recordings from the triple press at the Clone Jesus concert. He needs to find out why these recordings are worth killing for, and why he’s been framed. He also badly needs a fix…

Chapter Nine, Part One of The Killswitch Review is now up on Suicide Girls and this chapter is entitled Ghosts In The Machine. Agent Haggerty’s addiction to Happy Styx is intensifying and he can’t seem to help destroying his evidence once dose at a time. With nowhere else to turn he’s about to face the wealthiest, most powerful man in NewVada and try desperately to make him understand that his only son’s death was not his fault. That talk would be difficult under any circumstances. High on a euphoric drug and being the main suspect certainly can’t make it any easier, right?

Rereading the chapter myself, I came across this passage, and thought I’d tack it on as a teaser in case any of you were having a bad day and wanted to say, “Fug the man!”

“Haggerty looked beneath his feet through the pod’s viewer and saw Detective Woyzeck standing below them — red-faced, fists in the air, middle fingers jabbing upward. His curses were muffled by the sound of the jetpod engines.”
