Haven't put up anything in a bit so I figured I'd drop a line to whoever reads this.
Life's been pretty good, I can't really find a damn thing to complain about. The Navy's treating me outstandingly, familial ties are good, and I've even managed to find me the sweetest, most wonderful girl who'll have me.
Sitting on cloud nine at the moment so I feel anything else I say will either sound pretentious, mushy, or otherwise annoying so I guess I'll leave you all with this. I recently watched Act Of Valor, a movie about the US Navy SEALs paying tribute to Special Forces across all branches and the services as a whole. In this movie there's a quote from Tecumseh, a leader of the Shawnee tribe, that I'd like to share.
"So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart.... Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people..... If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself." - Tecumseh
Hoo-fucking-yah.
