I've been feeling so inspired and uplifted for the past week and a half! I've begun quite a few new projects, mostly sewing related. Some of you might know that I spent some time in fashion design school about 4 years ago. Strangely enough, art school was the least creative and least inspired time of my life. I hadn't done any serious designing or sewing since. Until now...

All I have left to finish on that dress is making a belt! What do you think?
I made a craft wishlist if anyone would like to help me with supplies
I've stayed up until 5am two nights in a row making that dress. I just can't quit! I truly forgot how much I love sewing. I also have fabric for two more dresses that I am so excited about! One is a going to be a cute pink cherry print halter and the other is a brown shirt dress with mushroom trim. I can't wait to show you all! I also forgot how much I love fabric. I used to spend hours just wandering through aisles and aisles of fabric, touching everything and imagining new creations. Ah, swoon.
This week has also been a blast because we're finally doing cool things in my anatomy and physiology course. This week was eyeballs, brains, and cadavers! Note: Not for the squeamish.
We also got to view (and touch!) 3 different cadavers, but it would be disrespectful to take pictures of that. I am so fascinated by all of this. I actually was really squeamish when I was in middle school and high school; I wanted absolutely nothing to do with any dissections. I was always "sick" on those days. Now I can't get enough!
My lovely Rourkey left for Los Angles on Monday, and though I miss her, I'm so excited for her future adventures! We had some fun memories before she left:

It seems as though everyone I know is leaving Ohio, but then again, I will be leaving too in about a month. I've had a mostly good time here, and I look forward to whatever will come next.
Hell City was a blast! I was the "she devil," so I was running around with the mascots all weekend! I met so many amazing people, and was able to reconnect with some old friends! I love Hell City.

Unfortunately I did not take any pictures during the convention![]()
And because no Tovi blog is complete without some pug cuddles:

P.S. Does anyone know how to turn a sideways .mov file right side up?

Do you live on or near this route? I could be down for some hang outs.
I know for sure I want to go to Gaitlinburg. I went in 2010 with some amazing Suicide Girls and had a blast. I definitely want to go back and relive some memories
I've never been camping solo, although I do light hiking by myself all the time. I think this is going to be an amazing adventure if I can actually do it! Ideally, I'd like to spend at least 3-4 days in the wilderness. Unfortunately, I have zero equipment and close to zero skills... Any hiking or camping gurus with some advice?
I've also heard Atlanta is pretty sweet, so I think I want to stop there. To be completely honest, I have no idea where to go on my journey and what to see. I would really love some advice! And possibly a couch for me and two very sweet pugs! I make some killer breakfast
Ah I'm so excited about this trip, and the more I talk about it and research it, the more excited I get. Can it just be June already?!
Oh and speaking of hiking... I shot a brand new set last week with Alissa with help from Rourke. I have never been so excited about a photoshoot before. I am so glad I was able to shoot in my favorite place in Ohio (Hocking Hills) before I move again. The finished product won't be out for a few months, but here are some pictures from the shoot!

Looking forward to the set yet?
In other exciting news, my foster puggy is getting adopted this weekend! He was finally cleared by the vet (he had some medical issues) and already has found a loving family! I'm gonna miss this little dude.

HELL CITY is this weekend! I'm gonna be running around there all weekend, please say hello and introduce yourself if you see me! While you're at it, get your SG coffee table book signed by all the gorgeous ladies at the SG booth! Bring your camera.
Don't forget to check out Ladylike in MR! Thank you all so much for all the sweet comments! I read them all and am so appreciative of your support! ![]()

Well first bit of exciting news- my new set, "Ladylike" is finally up and in review! I'm so excited to share this set with you all. I feel like this set is so raw, honest, simple, me. Sean is awesome, and I was honored to shoot with him.

Ladylike was shot in Phoenix, Arizona during the last Hell City. It was such a fun and memorable weekend of my life. I stayed in one of the most beautiful resorts I've ever been in and spent time with so many amazing people.

Now Hell City is right around the corner again here in Ohio, and I can't wait to do it all over again. It is almost like a family reunion for me; so many of my Suicide Girl friends come into town. One more week!
Hell City actually holds a really special place in my heart. My very first set ever went live on the first day of Hell City two years ago. It brought me to Columbus, where I met the incredible ladies that I eventually moved across the country to start a new adventure of my life with. I'm so grateful for all the doors that have opened up for me because of Suicide Girls and all of the adventures that I've had.
From my first Hell City, and my first day as a Suicide Girl:

^Out with Alissa and Rourke! I love those ladies
I had a crazy pug weekend... There were 5 pugs in my house. I got two extra foster pugs for a few days while they got medical clearance before going into their forever home. It was pretty crazy, but awesome.

I took my pugs for another hike and may or may not have found the location of my next photoshoot

^one reason you shouldn't hug pugs in the woods

Hiking has really become my new passion. I always feel so at peace in the woods

My new set shot by Sean comes out this Thursday, the 26th at 9pm. I'm so excited for you all to see it! I feel like this set is really just real, raw me. I love it, and I hope you all do too

Anywho, it has been a fun week! Argentinian cutie Prussia was in town. I had s'mores and hangouts with her, King, Rourke, Rainbow, and their men.

The next day I watched Prussia shoot a set with Alissa:

Then dinner

I joined the Hell City street team and spread the word. So much fun!

I seriously can not wait for Hell City this year. If you haven't been before, you definitely should look into it. Suicide Girls will have a booth as usual filled with tons of gorgeous women! I hope I'll see you there!
Other things that have consumed my life as of late:

Decorating

baking

presents!

drawing in anatomy class

And pugs as always!

Little Minnow has to wear a cone for awhile. He keeps scratching his face until he is bloody and nothing seems to fix it. He's been to the vet a few times, taken allergy meds, medicated lotions, changed diets, wore booties (that made his feel swell!), and finally this. Hopefully it helps! We took a nap together today and when I woke up, my shirt was covered in blood from where he had cuddled up to me

I've also been getting into raw food lately. I bought a sweet raw cook book and have been doing a lot of research! I've tried a few things, but I need to better equip my kitchen. Pictures of my creations to come!
And...... I have a new set coming out on April 26th!!!! I shot with Sean a few months ago, and I am so excited for this to go up!

It took some very important friends to make me realize that the people who truly care about you will love you no matter what. They may not always approve of your decisions, but they will always approve of YOU. If they don't, who needs 'em?
My life is changing so much these days. Since I've been gone I've:
Gone back to school
Started three new volunteer projects- Ohio Pug Rescue, Habitat for Humanity, and volunteering at a hospital
Quit my awful stressful job
Gained a [foster] pug
Gone vegan (again)
Started some new craft projects- look for kitchen things soon!
Explored in a new country (Canada!)
Done a bunch of other stuff, haha
I've been hiking a lot now that the weather is nice. The pugs have basically been little mountain goats, running up and down hills, jumping from rock to rock, showing me up.

I went to a sweet shark exhibit at the science museum.

I went to the Suicide Girls St. Patty's Day party a few weekends ago. It was such a blast seeing everyone and meeting new people.

I went to the amazing aquarium in Newport, Kentucky

^I got to pet a shark!!

This is my new foster puggy, Hickory

Other pics:
My Texas besty (that I met here on SG 2 years ago!) came to visit me in Ohio! We bought vintage hats.

I've been hanging out with the lovely miss Rourke

^That pic pretty much sums up my existence.

^Made for me by Gadget. I miss that woman!

^Shot by Sunshine for Powder Puff Pinups! She is amazing, I can't wait for her to start shooting for SG!

^Taken by Cashmir <3

Anyways, I’m happy to be back. And because I couldn’t just come back empty handed, I should have a set coming out soon that I shot with Sean a little while back.
