It's my birthday!
Give yourself a little gift in honor of me.
Here's a link to
my album on ITunes
No tornado warnings this morning; just clear sunny skies.
I was given a mouse for my birthday. Well, sort of. My friend didn't know it was my birthday but that's when he gave me the mouse. The mouse is sitting on my shoulder right now. Baby the dog keeps looking at him and licking his lips !

Megabus.com: The new environmentally-friendly, cost-effective way to tour? I'm getting ideas....
You can travel to many cities for less than the cost of a latte.
Where should Laura Harmondale stop on her U.S. tour?
Now that the record is finally out, I'm ready to do this!
But I could use some help in finding venues that would welcome a budding, little-known independent artist like me. Any suggestions?
Very exciting news -- Spirit of 73 got its first official review!! I'm kind of stunned at what they wrote.
Read it here on the To Eleven music blog.
Thanks to everyone for your support of my debut album! If you have the album and would like to leave your own review on my site, you can surf on over to Lauraharmondale.com and leave a comment. I'd be grateful!

IT'S HERE!!!!
UPS just delivered a big box and guess what's in it?
My debut album!! (1,000 of them to be exact)

This is a huge, huge moment for me - I have been working on this project for the past 5 years and it's finally ready to share!
I wrote all the songs on the album and even started my own record label to release it. I recorded it at a professional studio in Southern CA. Our very own Exning is a featured vocalist on "Surfer Girl", a song dedicated to the memory of Jimi Suicide.
If you like the Rolling Stones, the Byrds, Bob Dylan, Gram Parsons, Lucinda Williams, and/or appreciate Americana music in general, you will hopefully dig this. It doesn't really fall into any particular musical category, but it has elements of rock, blues, soul, gospel, folk, and yes even country...it's Harmondale!
If you would like a copy, you can order one here: www.LauraHarmondale.com
Let me know that you're an SG member in the Paypal notes and I'll sign it for you if you like! (Unless you prefer your copy to remain in its shrinkwrapping...then you'll just have to bring it to a show sometime so I can sign it in person
)
I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

UPDATE UPDATE: Oct-Nov: Book a shoot with me in Nashville and get a FREE Zivity set shot the same day! Message me for more details.
Flew in from St. Paul yesterday, arrived in Nashville at 7pm, got my car, picked up the keys to the new loft and had most of my stuff moved in by 10pm the same night. All in the middle of a rain and lightening storm, and with no extra hands to help - but I did it!
It was great to have a lightning show over the downtown skyline in clear view from the two big windows as I moved bags of clothes in....couldn't have asked for a cooler welcome.
More pictures of the space soon.... Only hours after moving in and I have my first appointment with the lovely Episkey this afternoon...

To answer any questions you may have about my future involvement with SG:
** SGs and hopefuls, you can still have a set shot with me if you so desire.
If interested you should email me at sglorelei@gmail.com for more details.
** I will also be shooting more heavily for Zivity.com; a site that pays artists royalties for every vote that members give on the sets there.
My photographer's profile there is http://www.zivity.com/users/LoreleiPhoto if you would like to add me as a friend. (I also have tons of free trial invites if you need one, just send me your email address.) You'll see some familiar sets on there; works that were loved by the members here on SG but still never made it to front page... and also some sets that are exclusive to Zivity.
** I am also still offering my services as a photoshopper to any SGs or hopefuls in need. Again
just email me for more info on that.
Concerning the recent decision by the staff to remove some of their Official Photographers, I encourage you to send your opinions to staff. Thank you so much for your support over the years. The wonderful models and members here are what makes this site so worthwhile.
P.s. In other exciting news, I signed a year lease on a downtown studio loft yesterday. Yay...
P.p.s. If anyone wants to sublet a great furnished vacation rental while visiting Nashville, let me know! Seriously!!
It would be a great honeymoon suite and I could be your on-call personal photographer for your visit here. Heck, maybe you're a photographer coming to Nashville to shoot. I'm open to renting it out by the day as a studio. Just throwing out ideas! Haha.
