Hello all!
It's been so long, and I promise I will explain why. First off, me and the baby are doing incredibly well--far better than any of my doctors expected. I have had Type 1 Diabetes since late February of last year, and its because of this that I automatically have a high risk pregnancy. What that all boils down to is that I have to see a Maternal and Fetal Medicine doctor in addition to my OB. That means TONS of doctor visits, including eye exams and dental visits. The major bonus: I get ultrasounds every time I go to see my specialist.

One of the first photos of our baby girl, Stella Rose.
Yep, we're having a girl! The doctor was able to confirm very early on when she used her extremely powerful equipment to come up right under the baby's bottom. Needless to say, there were no dangly bits. Chris's response: "We're gonna need to get a shotgun."
He seems to think she's going to look exactly like me

Another reason I've been super busy is that we're weeks away from closing on our first home. I hope you guys find it as charming as we do. I'm sure I'll post many more pictures later on, but here's the view from the street.

The shower is going to be sometime in late July or early August, and my mom is completely flipping out. Stella already has tons of clothes, diapers, toys, etc., and we've decided that she will use the crib that I slept in as an infant. We only had to check that there have been no recalls on it since the late '70's, but a little TLC will make it beautiful again.
I have been taking tons of photos of my growing belly, but here are just a few. The last was taken last week.

At first, I was able to keep on my regular clothes, and I only had to wear my looser jeans kind of underneath my stomach.

Then I started to grow out of my bras. I'm currently a full cup size larger, but I've been told they will...
