This is a fantastic interview. It should be longer. It should be a book of Zak's paintings mixed in with transcripts of every day conversations he has with Charlie Suicide.
I'll take a cut of the royalities on that, sure ...
Spectacular interview, I think one of my favorites I've ever seen on the site. Aside from the fact that it is by default fascinating to read about someone who is finding themselves so bizarrely successful in both the world of high art and the underground punk scene, you're both so obviously bright and well-spoken the entire interview flowed beautifully and was a real pleasure to read, instead of just being about gathering information. Kudos!
(and no my opinion is not biased by my humongous boner for Charlie......okay maybe just a little bit.)
Zak deserves every iota of success he gets and the both of you are so real and well spoken that journalists and celebrities everywhere should be required to shut the fuck up for a few days and follow each of you around taking notes.
Bean and I bought a copy of Zak's book. It's fantastic. I find something new to like about the pictures every time I look at them. Everyone who's picked up that book at our house has always been really impressed.
He's still doing well and hasn't let anyone make him their bitch, and if he did, it would be for fun. He is consistent, to a point where you could consider it integrity. heh heh.
