No, it's the MSG that makes you crave more.

Ancient Chinese secret, huh?

I've never tried Panda Express. There are so many good Chinese places in my home city that the chain places don't seem to do to well. We still have a few but they only seem to thrive in the food courts.

Did you do a search for "Panda Express"?

You did, didn't you?

Are you asking if I searched SG for Panda Express or if I searched to see if there are many in my area?

If the former, then no, I was just reading all the news articles that have been put up since the last time I had an account.

If the latter, no, but I know they are all in or near a mall.

I feel like I'm missing some kind of inside joke..confused

Hey Plissken,

Road Trip?

I'm disappointed this hasn't shown up anywhere nearby.

It's probably awful but I still want to try it.

I really want Chinese food now.

But you'll just be hungry again in an hour....

I found out the reason behind this. Chinese food is heavy on things that are quickly and easily digested (rice and veggies) and low on things that are slow to digest (fats, other starches, sugars). So, if you want to stay full after eating Chinese, have a few of those little donut hole thingies first. smile

Rice is a carbohydrate meaning it is a sugar.

I always just thought it was due to me being a fat bastard.

Here's a serious question. Is every cheap Chinese buffet required by law to add little cubes of jello to their spread? I've been to a lot of buffets and it's always been there.

I was in one in Des Moines over vacation and they had no such thing.

They -did- have squid, which meant that I was able to satisfy lifelong curiosity without actually ordering a whole plate worth.

All of them here seem to. Along with really bad chocolate pudding and weird yogurt covered nuts.
