Cross posted from the Science Fiction group:
It's really no different from any of the other cable stations

Name a niche cable channel that isn't a shadow of its former self. Comedy Central, maybe. As we speak, A&E (used to mean Arts & Entertainment) is showing CSI: Miami, Bravo (Fine arts) is showing The Millionaire Matchmaker, MTV's showing Making the Band FOUR (though I suppose that is at least MUSIC-RELATED!), TLC (The Learning Channel) is showing Jon & Kate Plus 8, and VH1 is showing For the Love of Ray J. For god's sake, Nick at Nite shows 3rd Rock, which has been off the air only eight years.

It's just following the trend of most niche cable channels. Blame the internet?

The only show I remember watching on that channel this decade was MST3K.

I didn't get the channel at my house, but my ex-girlfriend did at her apartment, and we would watch that show in bed on Sunday mornings.
