Fred Topel: Hugh Laurie: House

Though I believe the show has faltered at times (the whole Tritter arc and hard focus on his addictions) Hugh Laurie has been truly brilliant and consistent throughout. This far into a series the characters begin to fade and become more and more like the actors playing them. Not so with this ensemble. The success stems from wit, not humor, which Hugh Laurie, and obviously David Shore, is a master.

This is a brilliant interview which certainly brought out the best of Hugh Laurie. Both the man and the character are fabulous.

Great interview. Laurie is a fine actor and House is a fantastic character.

House is my idol!

I only catch the marathons on USA , or the occasional online episodes. I do not think the series would be that interesting if the character was all "nicey nice".

Was forced to watch the show by the Ex.

Two gripes:
1) what happened to the crazy stuff? Bedlam etc?

2)Why is it always sarcoidosis/steriods.


Otherwise this is prolly one of Lauries best shows ever, I haven't seen him this good in years.
