I've always said that if I ever have boys I'm going to break their right arm when they are 2 to make sure they grow up left-handed. But if this guy can do what he's doing, maybe I won't have to.

Being left handed actually isn't as uncommon as people think. If not for outside influence your child has a one in three chance of being left handed. It's due to influence by parents, schools, etc. that people develop right handed dexterity even when they shouldn't.

You'd think this wouldn't happen anymore, that I'm talking about decades ago when teachers discouraged students from writing left-handed, but it still happens. And there's significant developmental and psychological repercussions because of it.

That's one of the most awesome things I've ever seen on a baseball field.

My kid will be able to deal with the significant developmental and psychological repercussions of it once he gets his $126 Million over seven years. I'm not worried.

Subrosa, I'm shocked and offended that you wouldn't break your daughter's arm. I thought you were a feminist. Tsk, tsk.

Listen, as soon as Barbi Zitorino gets $126 Million over seven years from the San Francisco Gianttes, I'll gladly crack my infant daughter's humerus. Call me old-fashioned, but until someone breaks that glass ceiling, I'm just not going to break her arm. Sexism be damned, this is pain in the name of economics.

What kind of father would I be if I permanently disfigured her without the promise of a handsome financial reward?

you can teach your daughter to pitch by breaking her arm, but you cant teach her to earn money by breaking a glass ceiling? youre a bad feminist.

Maybe by the time you get your act together and give me some grandchildren the glass ceiling will already have been broken by some woman whose father was more of a visionary than you.
